SaaSFerry publishes exit guides for business software. Each guide answers one question: what happens to your data, your money and your setup when you leave a tool.
What each guide covers
- What you can take, by data type and file type
- What stays behind, quoted from the vendor where possible
- What you set up again in the new tool
- Exit terms: renewal, notice and refunds
- A calculator for the cost of leaving
- A dated change log
- 10 or more alternatives, priced for your team
- Every source, labelled and dated
How guides are checked
Facts come from the vendor’s own pages: help articles, pricing pages and terms. Each source carries a label, Vendor, Migration service or Competitor, and the date it was read.
When a fact cannot be confirmed, the guide marks it Checking. Prices keep the billing label the vendor shows, and a guide says so when a page shows two prices with no label.
How alternatives are priced
Each alternative is priced for your team size. A guide uses the free plan when your whole team fits it, or else the lowest paid plan that holds your team.
Links
Guides link only to the official pages of the tool they cover. Alternatives and other sources appear as plain text references with their dates.
Updates
Every guide is rechecked every 30 days, and right away when a vendor changes its prices, shuts down or is sold. Changes appear in each guide’s change log.
Who writes the guides
The SaaSFerry Content Team writes and checks every guide.
