This page sets out how every SaaSFerry guide is written, checked and kept up to date.
Who writes the guides
The SaaSFerry Content Team writes and checks every guide. Each guide shows the team name and the date of its last update.
What every guide covers
Every exit guide follows the same order, so you always know where to look.
- What you can take, by data type and file type
- What stays behind, quoted from the vendor where possible
- What you set up again in the new tool
- Exit terms: renewal, notice and refunds
- A calculator for the cost of leaving
- A dated change log
- 10 or more alternatives, with their prices
- Every source, labelled and dated
Where the facts come from
Facts come from the vendor’s own pages first. That includes help articles, pricing pages and terms.
Each source in a guide carries a label and the date it was read. The labels are Vendor, Migration service and Competitor.
When a fact cannot be confirmed, the guide marks it Not stated. It never fills the gap with a guess.
How prices are compared
Each alternative shows the starting price and the monthly price its vendor publishes, with the billing label the vendor uses, such as paid monthly or paid yearly.
When a vendor shows a price with no label, the guide says so. When a vendor shows no price, the guide says Not published.
The cost calculator in each guide uses only that tool’s own plans, your team size and the months you pick.
Links
A guide links only to official pages of the tool it covers, with two links at most. Alternatives and other sources appear as plain text with their dates.
Updates and rechecks
Every guide is rechecked every 30 days. A guide gets rechecked sooner when a vendor changes its prices, is sold or shuts down.
Each change goes into the guide’s change log with its date.
Corrections
Spotted a wrong fact? Email [email protected] with the page link, the fact and where you saw the right one.
Confirmed errors get fixed fast. The fix goes into the change log with the date.
Product names and logos
Product names and logos belong to their owners. They appear in guides only to show which product a section is about.
